Peony Party and High Tea for 8-10 at Meadow Rock Farm

Peony Party and High Tea for 8-10 at Meadow Rock Farm
Join us at Meadow Rock Farm during the fleeting window in mid-May/early June when peonies are in bloom. Delicate, showy and fragrant, peonies have a rich history across eras and cultures. Often known as the “flower of riches and honor” and the “king of flowers”, peonies have been credited at various times with warding off certain evils, hiding nymphs among their abundant petals, and symbolizing a mischievous, devil-may-care attitude. Their intricate beauty has inspired many artists; we invite you to establish your own meaningful associations with peonies during your own private peony party!
The winner of this package will be invited to bring a group of 8-10 children or adults to enjoy high tea among the peony bounty. The tea will be served in the British tradition, and will include finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, cakes and pastries, and other sweet and savory bites. During this event, guests may harvest their own peonies to take home so they can continue to enjoy the beauty of these flowers.
The date must be chosen to coincide with the brief blooming season (usually 7-9 days) of the peonies, and must take place on a day with fair weather.
