A Reservation at the Hardest-to-Get Table in Town, the One and Only Rao’s

Booth for 4 • Tuesday, October 21 • 6 p.m.
455 114th Street

For one night only, you will have elusive “table rights” at a booth for four to dine among the fabled crowd at Rao’s New York. Founded in the tradition of “food, friends, and family,” Rao’s serves up delicious and satisfying Neapolitan cooking in a memorable atmosphere—but to get in, you have to know someone. We don’t want to drop any names, but Forbes called it “simply the toughest restaurant reservation in this country, if not the world.”

Rao’s has been a fixture on this corner of East Harlem since 1896. It began as a saloon and served wine pumped through a hose from the neighbors during Prohibition. The paneled walls of its single room are hung with Christmas lights and photos of Frankie Valli and Frank Sinatra, and the jukebox is loaded with songs that everyone can sing along to. It’s only open for dinner on weekdays, and “table rights” for its four tables and six booths are passed down through families. There are no menus, everything is served family-style, and the restaurant is all cash.

You are guaranteed to enjoy the unique ambiance and award-winning food. Bring your appetite and your sense of adventure as you dine at a favorite destination of New York’s cognoscenti.

Not sure you can steal away on a weeknight? This package makes it a dream come true. Babysitting will be provided by one of TCS’s beloved teachers (yes!), and a driver will whisk you into the city. Once the meal is over, your car will be waiting to take you home. Don’t miss this chance for an unforgettable night on the town!
